Root Canals
Root canal treatment is often recommended after testing a tooth and a diagnosis has been made indicating that a tooth has infection present, the nerve inside the tooth has become necrotic, or there is irreversible damage to the pulp (nerves and blood vessels) within the tooth. Root canal therapy may be needed in cases such as when there has been trauma to a tooth or there is decay extending deep inside the tooth.

Endodontic Therapy
The specialty of dentistry dealing specifically with the pulp and tissues around the root of the tooth is known as endodontics. Our office is equipped to provide root canal therapy. If your case is more complex than our dentists are able to accommodate, we will set you up with a referral to the appropriate specialist such as an endodontist in the local area. After root canal therapy, our dentists will likely recommend a crown in most cases to protect root canal treated teeth from further breakdown.
